11/6/2023 0 Comments Fragments movie rating![]() Plot: Tom (Bill Milner), a shy, lonely teenage boy on an estate who interrupts some men who have sexually assaulted his friend Lucy (Williams) in a neighboring flat. A good twist is that your view of the characters changes as you learn more about them but while I found no major flaws, it probably will miss out on the top marks if you like to chat while watching.IBoy (2017): iBoy has one of the most weirdest super powers plot.We have seen lot of superheroes origin and few of them are results of radiation accidents like Spiderman and Hulk but in iBoy he gets superpowers when he is on a call (Uses iPhone) and gets shot on head which gives him powers of telepathically hacking into any digital network. This is not original, having elements of movies as diverse as ‘The outrage’ and ‘Crash’ but if you liked those type movies then this might entertain. Rated 15, this does have some limited violence and disturbing tense scenes, uses the F word and a number of cuss words while the few sexual scenes feature adult themes and some limited nudity. The single disc opens to 2 trailers before offering play, scene selection and trailer. The major characters are multifaceted and we learn a lot about each of them as the film progresses, which all explains their differing reactions. ![]() Taking less than five minutes to get to the point, this drama ambles along and focuses on the aftermath of the event and how various individuals and organisations handle it, from the hospital staff, investigators, psychologists and even school friends but above all it’s about the ‘survivors’ who ‘were there’ and the way they perceive it all and are affected by it. In this 2008 drama five characters try to come to terms with ’life’ after surviving an horrific random mass shooting at roadside diner. In short, some disturbing content, and slow to get going, but worth watching for the insight on trauma, and the great job done by the actors. The end is worth it, in my opinion, and Dakota Fanning and Josh Hutcherson did an amazing job with the scene, in which the truth of what happened is finally revealed. Forrest Whitaker and Kate Beckensale were also featured, but I was not as drawn in by their roles. However, the film has actors Dakota Fanning, Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Hudson - all of whom do a brilliant job with the roles they are given as the people who were traumatized, or relatives of the traumatized. There was a lot of information and not a lot of engaging action or plot. I had also read the book, and had to force my way through it, because it just didn't keep my attention well. It is an interesting look at how different people deal with trauma. Five people are trapped in a desperate situation, and this film, like the book, studies the aftermath. The movie Fragments is based upon the book, Winged Creatures. ![]() To learn more about how and for what purposes Amazon uses personal information (such as Amazon Store order history), please visit our Privacy Notice.
